| Designing for a web site is, in many ways, the same as that employed for any other promotional design function. All the same principals apply but with the addition of a few more. Brochure and press advertising design is static, where as web design is flexible and interactive. | ||
| It is vitally important to consider the visitor to a web site at all times. In just the same manner as a reader will not bother with a brochure or press advertisment that is dull and boring, or that requires a high degree of mental agility to understand, the web site viewer will soon tire of a site that is difficult to navigate and does not provide him with the information that he requires. A good web site should contain well presented information that is easily and logically accessible. It should be clean, crisp and attractive, and at all costs it should avoid the temptation of gimmicks and gizmos that make it appear to be a fireworks display with nothing left at the end of it. Essentially, a web site should present your product or service in a readily understandable manner that clearly emphasises the advantages to the viewer and helps to create a desire to buy. |

| A common fault with many a web site today, is that although the site itself creates a desire, it is not followed up by the owner of the site ! This is not only bad business, but it is downright rudeness.
